Altrove Hill Top Park is new a 1.2 ha public park in the centre of the vast Stockland Altrove residential development in Schofields, NSW. Formerly a dairy farm dating back to the 1890’s the area, prior to development, was devoid of trees or any other form of shade. Therefore, the provision of shade and vegetated and architectural canopy was a key consideration in the design of this community park. Taking this consideration into account and in order to attract the support and patronage of the local community, PDS set about designing a space which was both inviting and comfortable while also providing multiple usage opportunities.

The end result is a community park framed by the impressive views of the Blue Mountains, a park which delivers inclusivity and accessibility through the designated play areas, designed to accommodate all abilities and ages, a wide variety of amenities such as a toilet block, multiple shade structures, BBQ’s and water fountains.
